We happily invite you to our very first canicross half-marathon! You can also participate without a dog. You can also compete in relay. We dreamed big and thought that fortune favors the brave – to make our dream come true, Happy&Fit will support us as our main sponsor. Are you brave enough? Are you up for the challenge? There is, of course, also a charity part of this competition. Our HKR Foundation has created an “Animal Welfare Fund” which main purpose is to help control or eliminate unwanted litters. Also to reach a point where all dogs have a (registered) chip and the mandatory vaccinations! We are helping people who are truly loving their animals, wanting to care for them but living in difficult conditions.

Anyone who is unable to attend our event in person or will be present but does not take part as a competitor will also be able to support the 6 organizations we supported in 2019 as “virtual runners”. The amount collected from the virtual run is 100% distributed amongst them. Of course, we will reward you with a unique gift.

RULES

• For those who are participating with dogs, leash and harness are mandatory.
• The race can only be completed with one dog.
• Runners without dogs are also welcome, but please only register if you acknowledge that this is an event for canicross by default.

• Entry is allowed from the age of 14.

• Dogs on the individual race must be 2 years or older, in the relay they must be 1 year or older.

• Required equipment: mobile phone, photo ID, bottle, cup or drinking bag at least 0.5 litres, will be checked!

• Protection against ticks and fleas is recommended!
•  Dogs that are sick or in heat are not allowed at the event!
•  Antisocial dogs are required to wear a muzzle throughout the event and we ask you to keep the dogs on leash and collect their feces!

DISTANCE

• For individuals is 20.5 km
• For double relay is 8 + 12.5 km

REWARDS

On the individual race we reward male and female competitors in different age categories, courtesy of our sponsor (14-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-49, 50+).

In the double relay race, the first three teams (regardless of their gender) will be rewarded by our sponsor.

The other offered gifts, in the form of a raffle, will be drawn among the race numbers. Our sponsors will be introduced later on.

Depending on the weather dogs would have several cooling points.

Entry fees are considered a donation and must be paid into the account of the HKR Foundation. We will not be able to refund or credit the entry fee. It is possible to pass on the entry up to the entry deadline. Thank you for your understanding!

Please note that photos and videos will be taken during the event! Attending the event is also agreeing to photos and videos (even in edited versions) would be available on the Internet or in print media. Photographs and videos can also be used to promote the programs of the HKR Foundation. Event photos, videos, audio materials could also be used for advertising and promotional purposes, online and offline marketing without time, space and location limitations by the photographer / photographer team that created the material. Participants are not entitled to any remuneration for the use of these recordings. The Organizers are not responsible for the content and use of photographs and video recordings made by the event participants at the event.

Important! Everyone participates on their own responsibility and should be aware of the health status of themselves and their dogs’! The veterinarian at site can override. Supplying of data is voluntary but is a prerequisite for participating in the competition. The data is handled securely. It will not be passed on to third parties. Presentation of a vaccination book / passport, ID card, address card is required at registration! In the absence of these the participant cannot start. We are unable to refund the entry fee! Rabies and combined vaccination must have been given within 1 year, deworming must have been applied within 1 month.
